Biggest Adversity Faced: An event that had the biggest impact on my life last year was Ring Day. That day reality sunk in, and I finally felt like a senior! Lol I also realized that soon I will be walking away from everything I’ve known and entering a completely new environment. On my Ring Day, I vowed to remain in contact with the great people (peers and teachers alike) that have walked into my life and to also embrace without fear the new things that will be coming into my life.
Hey! My name is Alicia Jasmine Cortez, and I am currently a senior at the Academy of Mount St. Ursula. This is my first time blogging so bear with me. LoL First and foremost, I want to thank REACH for giving me this unique opportunity to share my knowledge with you all. Besides giving you the 411 on the tedious college application process, I am also looking forward to personally growing from this experience. Currently, I’m interested in pursuing a career in the competitive field of journalism, and I feel that this experience will allow me to perfect my craft and develop into a skilled, versatile writer. While blogging, I hope that I will be able to produce interesting and enlightening material and provide you with valuable advice and information that you will be able to utilize later on when it’s your turn to apply! My blog is designed specifically for you, the reader, so do not hesitate to email me at acortez4693@aol.com As a writer, I have to admit there are times when I run out of ideas so I’m open to any suggestions on topics you think I should discuss and address. Any constructive criticism you have to offer will also be very helpful. I’m eager to answer all questions whether they are about the college application process in general or if they are specific to my personal experience with the college application process. To all that will be reading my blog, thank you!
