LEARN, EARN, WIN! (LEW) and the REACH Scholar Awards are the core of the REACH program. LEW is a series of free, comprehensive Saturday workshops, which connects thousands of REACH students with top AP experts from around the country. It is comprised of three full Saturdays of intensive workshops (6 hours/day, 18 hours of total instruction) for each of 19 REACH AP subjects. For all students who complete LEW, they earn $300, $400 or $500 in performance scholarships for each score of 3, 4 or 5, respectively. Last year, 70% of eligible REACH students participated in LEW (2,500 students); participants who fully attended LEW passed their AP exams at a 41% rate vs. only 17% among those who did not participate at all from the same schools—a BIG difference.
